REFLECTION
This is the second in our series of Conversing with the Earth, as mentioned in my last blog, I am reflecting upon the small area of the earth where I live. It brings me comfort, inspiration and a place to call my own, to nurture this small piece of the earth and appreciate it for all it provides for us.
In this second piece I have used a photo of our pond where it is lovely to go and sit and reflect, reflect on life, the world, our needs, gather inspiration and rejuvenate. I have manipulated the photo in a couple of apps and then printed it out on linen using my home printer.
I have appliqued it to a recycled sari that I have quilted first. I then slow stitched each photo in place adding to the time I spent reflecting on the joy this piece of land brings to me.
